postheadericon Mole Hunting in the U.S. Trailer for Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

Ever since gaining independence from them in the 18th century, Americans have been pretty big fans of all things England. (Maybe not bangers and mash, but that balances out with The Beatles.) Now, the jolly good chaps are providing U.S. audiences with many of their best actors in one place for the upcoming thriller 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.' After releasing a teaser, a poster and an international trailer thus far, Focus Features has finally dropped a domestic sneak peek to get your juices flowing. Watch ahead, and weigh in on the best and worst trailers from the past week.

postheadericon Get on the Couch and Make Room for Doctor

If his wildly under-appreciated 'Dead Ringers' was any indication, it seems like director David Cronenberg has a thing for men of science who can't keep their flies up. So with the release of his next film, 'A Dangerous Method,' just months away, we finally have our hands on the first domestic trailer to give us a glimpse into what kind of psychosexual hijinks Sigmund Freud gets himself caught up in. Call us crazy, but something tells us his mother had something to do with it.

So click through to weigh in on the trailer for yourself along with the rest of the trailers that broke this past week.

postheadericon Bruce Campbell Says That Ash is NOT in The Evil Dead Remake

If you haven't already heard, director Fede Alvarez is teaming up with writers Sam Raimi, Diablo Cody, and Rodo Sayagues for a remake of 'The Evil Dead' in 2013. Most of the updates on the project thus far have come from the original film's star, Bruce Campbell, and while he's had nothing but good things to say as of late, this latest news is a tad concerning.

postheadericon About That Time a Man Eating a Fudgesicle Broke Into Nicolas Cage's Home

Nicolas Cage's upcoming film 'Trespass' is a thriller about a wealthy family taken hostage inside their own home by burglars. An unsettling premise in its own right, but for Cage, the scenario hits far closer to home than any of us ever knew.

postheadericon Channing Tatum Is a Shady Cop in the First Trailer for The Son of No One

Still not really sure how Channing Tatum went from popping and locking in 'Step Up' to starring alongside Hollywood royalty over the course of five years, but hopefully his latest turn in 'The Son of No One' will clear up some of the confusion. This time around, Tatum plays a rookie New York City cop tasked with cleaning up the crime-ridden neighborhood he grew up in. Along the way, an anonymous caller threatens to divulge a long-forgotten secret that could destroy the cop's whole world. Written and directed by Dito Montiel and co-starring Al Pacino, Ray Liotta, Katie Holmes, Tracy Morgan, and Juliette Binoche, click through to see this A-list cast square off against the streets of New York in the first trailer from Fandango.

postheadericon The Thing Embraces R-Rating With New Blood and Guts-Filled Red Band Trailer

To horror fans, John Carpenter's 'The Thing' is practically sacred. The cold, dark setting and mounting paranoia of the film are ratcheted up once audiences get their first view of the gruesome, other-worldly creature -- achieved through incredible special effects done by Rob Bottin.

postheadericon Ghost Protocol Looks Awfully Familiar

From the moment we saw the crazy first trailer for 'Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol,' we were already on board. So when Paramount Pictures followed it up with an image of Tom Cruise in the rain, our excitement was underwhelming. On the one hand, how do you top a trailer that ends with Tom Cruise swinging off the tallest building in the world? On the other, this latest poster is barely even trying. Read on to check out the latest teaser poster from Yahoo! Movies and see how it compares to the last image we got over a month ago.

postheadericon The Gloves Come Off in First Trailer for Goon

If you thought 'Happy Gilmore' featured too much golf and wish 'Slap Shot' had been a Hanson Brothers highlight reel for two hours, then say hello to 'Goon.' Starring Seann William Scott, 'Goon' is the story of a down-on-his-luck bouncer who gets recruited by a semi-pro hockey team with the understanding that he's to fight every opponent so the team can win more games. Sounds pretty similar to Kevin Smith's upcoming 'Hit Somebody' movies, but go ahead and check out The Stifmeister punch the tar out of people for a living ahead.

postheadericon Young Adult Gives Judy Blume the Hangover Treatment

Since the first image of Charlize Theron in a Hello Kitty shirt didn't give us much to go off of, The Hollywood Reporter now has the first 'Young Adult' poster for us all to enjoy.

From what we know so far, 'Young Adult' is about a teen lit author named Mavis Gary (Theron) who returns home to win back her high school sweetheart (Patrick Wilson) who's now married with kids. When things don't go as planned, Gary finds herself reconnecting with a old classmate (Patton Oswalt) who's still reveling in his high school days.

On top of its all-star cast, 'Young Adult' is also the first reunion for director Jason Reitman and screenwriter Diablo Cody since the Oscar-winning 'Juno.' Needless to say, we're excited, so click through to check out the debut poster and get on the bandwagon.

postheadericon Snoop Dogg Set to Star in Fillmore Slim Biopic

In more celebrity doppelganger news, Deadline reports that rapper-turned-actor Snoop Dogg has nabbed the lead role in an upcoming biopic about Fillmore Slim, entitled 'The Legend of Fillmore Slim.' If the name isn't ringing any bells, Fillmore Slim (who's still alive and touring at 77) is a bluesman and infamous pimp from the '60s and '70s. Snoop's past acting credits include roles in 'Old School,' 'Starsky and Hutch,' and 'Training Day.'

postheadericon House in the First Trailer for Sarah Palin

Even though she's not officially running for President -- and even though her latest One Nation bus tour would have us believe otherwise -- Sarah Palin's been one of the more interesting political figures over the past few years. Some think she's just the maverick this country needs, but others -- like filmmaker Nick Broomfield -- are convinced she's anything but. In an effort to get through all the smoke and mirrors of her public image, Broomfield decided to go to her home town of Wasilla, Alaska and interview those who knew her best in the upcoming documentary 'Sarah Palin: You Betcha!'

postheadericon George Clooney Meets His Daughter's New Boyfriend in Latest Clip

'The Descendants' is a dramedy about a wealthy father (George Clooney) who has to take care of his two daughters when his wife gets into a life-threatening car accident, all while dealing with the revelation that she's been having an affair. Writer/director Alexander Payne's follow-up to 'Sideways' is scheduled to screen at the Toronto International Film Festival (after debuting at Telluride last week), and in anticipation, indieWIRE has debuted a new clip from the film. Watch ahead.

postheadericon Sci-Fi Author Harlan Ellison Claims In Time is Ripping Him Off Release

More bad news for Justin Timberlake: His new movie, 'In Time,' has just been hit with a lawsuit that seeks to stop its Oct. 28 release. The script for the upcoming sci-fi thriller -- which is set in a future where time is literally money -- is credited to director Andrew Niccol ('Gattaca'), but legendary sci-fi author Harlan Ellison says the new film is ripping off a very similar prize-winning short story he wrote in 1965.

postheadericon James Marsden Talks and the Art of Remaking Classic Films

James Marsden is an acting chameleon. Horror, romantic comedies, musicals, dramas, superhero fare and raunchy romps... the Oklahoma native has done it all, along the way establishing a reputation as one of Hollywood's nicest guys. Now, Marsden is switching gears with a remake of 1971's psychological thriller, 'Straw Dogs,' which opens Friday. Not for the squeamish, the movie finds his character, David, forced to take extreme measures when he and his wife are brutally terrorized by locals. Marsden spoke exclusively with Moviefone about 'Straw Dogs,' remaking classic movies and getting aggressive on screen.

postheadericon Colin Firth Thinks Movie Audiences Are Being Underestimated

Isn't it nice when someone tells you you're smart? Well if you like going to the movies, then Colin Firth just called you a genius.

Now that his latest starring vehicle 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy' has walked away with glowing reviews from the Venice Film Festival, the Oscar-winner sat down with The Guardian to discuss how it will be received by a wider audience on December 9. According to reports, the film moves along at a slow pace and carries a highly intricate plot that might turn off some viewers, but that doesn't seem to worry Colin Firth.

In his own words:
I do think there is a tendency to underestimate audiences, I do think there is an appetite to be stretched. I do think people want to hear language at its best on the screen. I'm optimistic about it having an enormous audience."
In light of the financial success of 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' and Disney exec. Andy Hendrickson's belief that a movie's story doesn't matter, the sad thing is that Firth might be in the minority. It's great to hear that someone in Hollywood has faith in the intelligence of moviegoers, but click through to tell us what you think about Firth's comments and check out the latest trailer for 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.'

postheadericon Making Trades and Taking Charge in Two New Clips from Moneyball

For those who haven't read the book, 'Moneyball' is the true story of a former ballplayer named Billy Beane (Brad Pitt) who traded in his cleats for a job as the General Manager of the Oakland A's during the late '90s (a position he still holds to this day). Over the next few years, Beane and his team of baseball analysts created one of the most successful teams in the league using statistics previously seen as unworthy by traditional scouts and baseball minds. We loved the book, we really liked the movie, and now -- thanks to Yahoo! and Hollywood.com -- we've got two new clips to give you better idea of how things are run in 'Moneyball.'

postheadericon Latest Clip From 'The Thing' Reminds Us Why We Don't Defrost Aliens

Set three days before the events of John Carpenter's 1982 remake (also titled 'The Thing'), the upcoming horror thriller 'The Thing' follows an Arctic scientific team that stumbles upon a crashed alien ship, accidentally awakens the creature buried inside, and then finds out the hard way that the alien is a shape-shifting killing machine. All in a day's work.
